We worked with a group of year 10 students who wanted to develop their transferable skills before going into year 11. We developed bespoke modules to raise aspirations within the group and develop skills such as teamwork, communication, planning, resilience and being organised as well as developing a positive mental attitude.

The students then delivered a social action project from concept to realisation called Cleaner, Greener LS9 with the aim of encouraging more people to live in the area. They created a campaign with posters, contacted local businesses and the council, picked up litter and arranged a competition with the primary school to design a poster.

The students were given a certificate and a personal profile highlighting all the excellent skills they had developed throughout the programme.
